11/21 Planning for Thanksgiving

It doesn't look like we'll have the number we thought. It's either going to be a smaller group or a much larger one. Beata and I are working on the shopping list this morning. This afternoon we'll go to the Commissary--but I sure hope we know ahead of time whether we're shopping for 5 or 50. This is going to be fun. I LOVE large gatherings for holidays. It reminds me of home. Now if I can only find a couple of guys to make fun of me all the time, I'll be set; and would NEVER be homesick for Quincy.

Joe, could you provide training for some young soldiers on how to make fun of me? There's a skill involved. They need to be able to needle me without completely damaging my psyche.

Oh, I won again at poker last night. So I'm 2 out of 3. Can't wait to take people's money on Thanksgiving. I'll sure be giving thanks.

Ok, family and friends, we really didn't planned to write about the same things, but since we are only a room away from each other, anything can be expected.
Yep--Mom totally kicked butt in poker last night. She is becoming a pro! Soon, she will totally clean our bank accounts! Gambling, gambling...

Well, you gambled when you married into our family. (Colloquialism--have you heard of that before? If not, holler and I'll yell from the kitchen to the library.)

jer, the trick is FIRST they have to LOVE you (which Joe does, and I don't care how much he would protest me saying it) and THEN they can be taught to make fun...just show them "the" Blog...after all it was invented for the sole purpose of 'picking on YOU' What you REALLY need to do is to find one that you want to 'keep'. I'm telling you those "unit" guys are HOT!!!

I'll start with the most important thing, Cindy. Yes, they are hot! So are soldiers in person. Yesterday I found myself staring at the hundreds of soldiers I saw on post. Yeah, I'm old, but I'm not dead.
