6/6 Quincy

Quincy was spayed today and poor thing...she is moving slowly and is in pain. The vet gave me some pain pills but I forgot to ask if she needs one today after all the anesthesia. Right now she's sleeping, so I guess I'll leave her alone until she seems more uncomfortable.

It's hard watching this energetic crazy-fun puppy just tiptoe around. She's such a sweetie and it's hard to watch her feel like this. The doc said she'll be her old self in a few days but I shouldn't let her run for several days.

So if she's her old self, how in the world am I going to be able to stop her from running?

Carry her everywhere?

if the question is not rheutorical, I'd suggest a crate
Poor puppy. Did you have her du-claws removed? I wish they'd done Kirby's when he was 'fixed' because he keeps catching one of his on things when he jumps, half ripping it off...it bleeds like mad and he spends most of the next few days licking his poor sore leg.

Good one, Monk. And Cin, nope I didn't have the dew claws removed. No one mentioned it to me, so I didn't think of it.

I have her at work today. Made the mistake of giving her a pain pill before we got here. She feels good (for a while) and jumped all over everyone with her usual "hello." I have her in my office now and she's lying down. Temporarily.
