5/28 What's wrong with this picture?

Five thousand people are dead in Indonesia from the earthquake. Up to 200,000 people are homeless. Rescue teams are having trouble flying in. The volcano is about to erupt there as well.

And Brangelina's baby is talked about before the tragedy.

Our priorities are screwed up.

I always find it interesting what the "news" people think we want to hear.

I just got our morning paper and you are right. Instead of this tragedy making the headlines, it is pushed over to the corner of the page. How sad...

Tragedies across the globe never touch us as much as ones that are in our own country. I suspect that's fairly normal. But STILL this is the most ridiculous thing. Angelina Jolie really is a humanitarian, and I bet she is shocked as well.

WE ALL dont' have our priorites screwed up, the media THINKS we do. I think all the celebrity 'news' is a waste of good ink. I am ashame to say though that I dont' want to delve to deeply in tragedy either, as it can be so gut retching, but do love the human interest of the help and heroic efforts of some during/after these tragedies.

Great posting...And I for one am happy to say, I don't know a thing about Brangelina's (?) baby.
