11/24 Last night's report

The stand-up comedy class was ace. Lee--a friend from CSz who is also a successful stand-up comedian--is a really good teacher. He wanted the class small...only five. But he did let me in, so there are six of us. Five students know each other from CSz and the sixth is someone who's been doing open mike nights for several months, but wants some instruction. So even though this is really new for us, we don't have the usual fear of getting up in front of an audience. Lee said that makes it easier for us to put on a good show. Yeah, we're doing a showcase in several weeks. Don't know exactly when yet. I'm pretty stoked about it. Although it is pretty scary venturing out into something brand new. It's really fun learning new things though.

Someone wrote a mean comment on my blog. Not mean like my brothers would be mean--but just plain mean. And they weren't even adult enough to say who they were. I deleted the note right away and then decided to delete that poison from my mind. Criticism isn't fun to hear, but I can take it. Not from "anonymous" however. Anonymous and cruel doesn't interest me. Bye-bye, you're gone--POOF!

You're a sweetie, Bron. Anyway, I'm well over it. Had to be. As I said--POOF! Enjoyed talking to you and Jen today. Was fun as usual.

There will always be people who get their jollies by attempting to drag others down in the mire where they live. I happen to know, though, that you are a floater. No keepin' Jer down. Nope, no way. Love ya!

Hello Poof,
Of course Jer wants people to say nice things, who wouldn't? I dont feel in any way that I was co-erced into saying these things, I love and respect Jer and I can't say I feel that way about a whole lot of people. I know that Jer is going to be honest and a wholey nice person who would not do anything to hurt anyone intentially.
How can you say she has negatives that outshine her positives? I honestly cannot fathom that.
What I dont get is why you feel the need to bring her, or anyone for that matter, down?
Do you think if you write these things the person they're aimed at will suddenly reassess their life and conform to what you think they should be like as a person?
I dont think anywhere in this blog has Jer actively asked people to point out her negative points, therefore why did you feel you had to? Everyone has negative points. And pretty much everyone's aware of them, I certainly know mine, it doesn't mean I'm going to change them, it's who I am...
I'm not trying to start a whole big 'comments' argument, I suppose I just dont understand where you're coming from writing that?

by the way Jer... you dont scare me in the slightest... if anything I admire you, if I had the balls you have (ahem) I'd be doing so much more!

Ya know, Mr./Ms. Anonymous, it's not true that I like everyone. I don't like you.

Yep, I'm a positive person. If you don't like it, you don't like it. But I'm the one who pays for this website. I can and will delete posts that are rude and mean from people too chicken to state their name. Sorry. As soon as you grow up I'll be happy to leave your posts as they are.

You don't make the rules here.

Thanks, Bron. I'm happy you're my friend.

For the person to say he/she apologized is just totally incorrect. At the very end of their post, he/she said, "Take this with a grain or shaker of salt." Wow. Lots of apology in that one.

It's not that I don't want divergent views--hell, more than half the world disagrees with me I'm sure. That's no problem. But throwing out mean things about me, on a website that I pay for, well, there's just no way I'm going to let the posts stay. Especially when they're posted anonymously.

Grown ups know how to disagree without calling someone else names. It's called "fair fighting."
