6/16 Found out who he was...

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel said this:

A motorcyclist killed last night on northbound I-43 has been identified as James E. Jewell of Milwaukee, the Milwaukee County medical examiner's office said this morning.

Jewell, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene, near I-43 and W. Mineral St.

The crash was reported about 8 p.m. Jewell entered the freeway at W. Becher St., lost control of the motorcycle and struck a center median, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.

That certainly doesn't answer my questions, but maybe there will be more in the paper later. I was glad to see that no one else caused the crash.

Okay...lots of work to do, so I better get back to it.

What a horrible sight to see. I've seen bad accidents like that a couple of times on the way to St Louis and scenes like that haunt you the rest of the day. So sad.

The weirdest thing is that my boss saw the same thing, even though she lives further away from that place than I do.

Jer, sorry for your trauma, and such a waste of a young life. I have detested motorcycles since sitting by my brothers bedside for 9 weeks, first wondering if he'd live, then wondering if he'd lose his leg. Sure, they look fun, until something tragic happens to someone you love most. Kelly is right, these things can haunt you forever.

Yes, Cindy. Your family went through a rough time with your brother.

And I keep thinking of my cousin, Bobby, who died on his motorcycle.

Well, I'm feeling much better today. I talked to a few friends about the situation and that helped. Time for me to go to work at CSz.

That never crossed my mind, but yes, you would have naturally went right to thoughts of Bobby, and what Aunt Millie and Uncle Tom must have gone through that terrible night. what we went through with Chris was tough, but NOTHING like what Bobbie's family suffered. Seems like yesterday. I can picture more now why all those questions ran through your mind. Hang in there. (and stay off motorcylces with no protection)Life is not always about fun when you leave a family to suffer the consequences.

Even sadder is that Bobby was wearing a helmet.
