My sister-in-law Karen's mother is in ICU on a ventilator. Her name is Katie, and she's one of the kindest human beings I've met. I'm so sad. I called Karen (married to my youngest brother Jim) and talked to her. Karen's an only child which makes this harder. She is her parents' pride and joy, and she worships them.
Life is hard sometimes.
