1/19 News

The Red Cross called me this afternoon to deploy me to Oklahoma because of the winter storms. There are people deployed all over the place because of the storms--from Colorado and Texas all the way to the northeast. I had listed myself as "secondary availability" for this month because of my vacation here, so I had to say no. I did say I was returning to NC on Tuesday and would be available to go on Wednesday. Hope they call back.

Hunter is so crazy about his husky from Build A Bear that he keeps talking about those dogs and watching Snow Dogs, the movie. I showed him the pictures of the dogs on his Aunt Beata's blog and he loved them. He asked me if they were boys or girls. I said I didn't know. He said, "Let me look." He stared and said the first one's a boy and the second one is a girl.

I smiled because you couldn't see the dog parts that would indicate the sex. Asked him how he knew. He said you can tell the difference between boy and girl dogs by the eyebrows--girl dogs have eyebrows and boy dogs don't. You heard it here first, ladies and gentlemen.

Oh, and some other news. I got a letter of approval for another mortgage. So after my condo sells, I'll be able to buy another one, if I choose. Don't know if I'll want to buy or rent, but it's always nice to have options.

I think Hunter is very intuitive. Eyebrows indeed! So what kind of "bear" did Miss Kayla, the initiator of the Build-a-Bear trip, get for herself? I think you should also tell Hunter that his Great-Aunt Paulette and cousin Matt have Husky's too...and much prettier ones than those dogs(who look like wolves to me) on his Aunt Beata's blog.

I thought I wrote about Kayla's bear, but maybe not She got a white bear with pink undertones and a pink heart nose. She calls her "Pinky." Very cute.

And I did talk to Hunter about the huskies his aunt and cousin have. He's looking forward to seeing them again. He doesn't remember the dogs from last time. :)

I hope they get to come this year again, and the fall worked out so well with the hay rack ride at Jan and Tim's. Eric was so disappointed they didn't have it this year b/c he wanted to bring Kelly and his roommate Ben to introduce them to his family, and it would be great if that included Jill, Todd and the kids

It doesn't look good for this year, although it's Quincy's "turn." :) They are going to Todd's nephew's wedding in WI in May and in October Jill and Todd are taking a big trip for their 10th anniversary. I'm trying to convince them to let me watch the kids in Quincy. That way the Bozarth clan would at least get the kids, if not the parents. :)

Those kids are just too cute!!! I am glad that you are enjoying your time in CA.
I WISH I had those dogs (or wolves) from that picture on my blog. Aunt Paulette and Matt are lucky to have Huskies. I always wanted one... :-)
