5/10 I forgot

I forgot to mention two other things about the weekend. Russ gave me a lovely black/gray/white stone frog that he got at a ghost town in California. It's lovely and has a place of honor on my frog shelf. Also, my sis-in-law, Karen, had flowers sent to our room. They were absolutely beautiful. Thanks again, Karen.

Talked to Russ for about five minutes this morning, but will talk longer later. My job has been hella busy this week. job security job security job security job security job security

Last night was fun. Four of us from BroadMinded were at Open Improv at Bucketworks. Had a good time. We're going to perform there in August. Ironing out details now. We also hope to perform at CSz.

Afterward MJ and I went out for a beer. It was lovely, even when a really drunk 20-something guy came to our table. He was a little cutie with huge dimples. But when his 40-something drunker than a skunk boss came over, it was a little too much so we took off.

Still it's all fodder for my writing, I guess.

Am going to Quincy this weekend for nephew Adam's college graduation party. Can't wait. Should be fun. Plus I'm taking the train so will have no stress.

So glad to hear you can make it for the graduation/party. This day is SO important to Joe and me, though Adam seems to be taking it all in stride. I can hardly even think about this event without the tears flowing. I couldn't be more proud of him, and can't wait to share the day, in part, with everyone.

I have enjoyed the blogs on your trip to meet Russ...Karen must have really had the inside track to send flowers!

Thanks, Cin. I am really looking forward to the party. Too bad I can't stay longer. I arrive at 10:15 PM on Friday and leave at 6:15 AM on Sunday. But I don't have any vacation available.

And Karen emailed Russ to find out info. Guess he was in on the secret. :)

Bron, he's going to try to come to Milwaukee for Summerfest over the 4th of July weekend. Don't know if it will work out, but that's the plan.

Mom, it seems like your trip was really romantic, and I am so happy for both of you guys.
We wish we could come to Quincy for the graduation party, but we just can't do it this time. :-(

Aunt Cindy, we really wish we could be there and celebrate that occasion with Adam. It's a huge achievement, and you, as parents, did great! Give him our love!

Yep, I am sneaky! You know me, I always love to surprise people.

I wish so badly that we could surprise everyone at show up at the graduation party but unfortunately we can't. I am so sorry Cindy. Please don't be mad at us. We are so proud of Adam and all that he has accomplished. Congratulations to you all.
Love,
Karen

Karen, of course I am not mad at anyone that can't make it. It is perfectly understandable with the drive, and if you knew Joe at all, he wouldn't come if the roles were reversed, so don't feel bad at all...we appreciate that you are thinking of Adam.
